Results

The participating tourism technology providers benefit from innovative software tools for spatial and temporal high-resolution data analyses and forecasts of tourist behaviour. Intermediaries also benefit from new services (e.g. optimized media usage for a specific destination), which can be generated by making use of new tools developed within this project. The analyses carried out in this project are the basis for individual short-term modelling of future spatial and temporal distribution of tourism demand. These models enhance the information basis for decision making on touristic investments such as targeted promotion of Austrian destinations abroad.
