Klimaarchiv Gebirgsgletscher. Klimarekonstruktion mittels Eiskernen. Neuartige Datierungsmethoden von Eiskernen und Gebirgsgletschern. Geophysikalische Vorerkundung von Gebirgsgletschern und Eiskernbohrplätzen.
