Survey of glacier forefield and first look on runoff data
On 9 August the first airborne laser scanning survey was performed using a scanning system mounted to a helicopter. The same day fixed position points were established for the upcoming surveys of the glacier tongue and the glacier forefield at Jamtalferner. The first look on the runoff data shows a number of high runoff situations caused by heavy rainfall in addition to glacier melt, but not reaching the peak runoff caused by strong snow melt conditions right after installation of the runoff gauge.
